Position Overview & Expectations
The Associate Director, Operational Excellence is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving operational initiatives and results across the organization.
The position operates at the intersection of strategy and execution, overseeing daily operations while leading monthly, quarterly, annual, and ongoing business initiatives. The successful candidate will provide disciplined operational leadership, project management, process improvement, and organizational accountability across the business.
The ideal candidate will:
Develop and execute change management initiatives to exceed operational performance objectives.
Provide data-driven insights to forecast and measure departmental performance, KPIs, risks, and opportunities.
Optimize interdepartmental efficiency, scalability, and service delivery.
Act as trusted advisor to department leaders, working in lockstep to achieve operational and client service objectives.
This role is designed for a data-driven, results-oriented professional who can drive both short-term performance and long-term strategic impact while building a culture of collaboration, accountability, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence & Transformation
Align daily, quarterly, and annual operations with company objectives.
Lead firm-wide operational initiatives that increase efficiency, enhance scalability, and drive measurable business results.
Translate company strategy into actionable operational plans and ensure successful execution.
Develop and implement operational frameworks that improve accountability, communication, and performance.
Implement and optimize Salesforce and supporting business systems to improve reporting, visibility, pipeline management, and client engagement.
Develop project plans, milestones, timelines, deliverables, resource requirements, and success metrics.
Provide executive leadership with regular updates regarding project status, challenges, risks, and outcomes.
Evaluate, implement, and optimize technologies, automation solutions, reporting tools, and operational systems that improve efficiency and business performance.
Lead the implementation of global operational standards, processes, and strategies to ensure consistency across business units.
Identify operational risks and proactively develop solutions that support growth and organizational objectives.
Develop scalable processes, procedures, and operating standards that support company growth.
Leadership, Culture & Engagement
Partner with leaders across the organization to strengthen culture, alignment, performance and client service.
Promote a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, innovation, accountability, and results.
Foster transparency, communication, and teamwork across departments.
Facilitate monthly and quarterly business reviews, operational planning sessions, and cross-functional meetings.
Promote consistent project ownership and execution throughout the business.
Build strong relationships with leaders and employees throughout the organization.
Leadership & Team Management
The Associate Director, Operational Excellence is a people leader responsible for building, leading, and developing high-performing operational teams that support the Company's strategic, operational, and growth objectives.
This role will have direct management responsibility for selecting operational leaders, managers, directors, and team members and may oversee additional functions as the organization continues to grow. This position is expected to establish clear performance expectations, drive accountability, develop talent, and ensure organizational alignment across assigned teams and business functions.
The Associate Director, Operational Excellence will be responsible for evaluating organizational structure and making recommendations regarding future reporting relationships, staffing needs, team design, and operational support functions to ensure scalability and business effectiveness.
Key Leadership Responsibilities
Lead, coach, mentor, and develop managers, directors, and operational team members.
Establish performance expectations, goals, accountability measures, and development plans.
Drive alignment between departmental objectives and company-wide strategic priorities.
Build scalable team structures, processes, and operating models that support organizational growth.
Identify resource gaps and recommend staffing, organizational, or process improvements.
Promote collaboration, communication, accountability, and operational excellence across all functions.
Ensure teams effectively execute projects, initiatives, and operational priorities.
Develop future leaders and support succession planning efforts.
Assign and monitor project responsibilities across direct reports and cross-functional contributors.
Ensure team members have clear deliverables, deadlines, resources, and measures of success.
Address performance, resource, execution, and operational issues that may impact business results.
Success Measures - Success in this role will be measured by the ability to:

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; relevant education, certifications, or equivalent professional experience will be considered.
An MBA or advanced degree may be beneficial but is not required for success in this role.
5+ years of progressive experience in operations, consulting, business management, or related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience driving enterprise-level or cross-functional business results.
Demonstrated success leading operational transformation and achieving measurable results in professional services, consulting, accounting, advisory, or other high-growth environments.
Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM, reporting, workflow, or business operations platforms is strongly valued.
Strong business and financial acumen with a track record of supporting revenue growth and organizational performance.
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Experience utilizing KPIs, dashboards, reporting tools, and operational metrics to drive decisions and performance.
Strong project and program management skills with the ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, timelines, deliverables, and measurable outcomes.
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining focus on deadlines, quality, accountability, and business impact.
Strong change management skills with experience driving the successful adoption of new systems, technologies, and operational processes.
Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or similar certification preferred but not required.
